I’m not gonna complain about you but I’m gonna complain here because it’s relevant.

The whole “gas under Biden” thing goes to show how fucking stupid people are. It fundamentally misses what’s going on here. Gas was expensive in Biden era because of COVID (essentially a natural disaster) massively disrupting the global logistics network. Gas is expensive now because Donnie likes to bomb brown people. Equating the two is fundamentally stupid, and even the statement “its more expensive now than under Biden” while made in good faith is normalizing the idea that Biden caused COVID price disruptions?? When in reality Trump was the “take no action” guy who let it fester???

This pisses me the fuck off.

      Agreed with all that.

Biden was being blamed for the gas prices when I didn’t see a good reason to blame him for them. Either way for me the prices are worse and have been worse for much longer now, and we have every reason to blame trump and his administration. I can guarantee he and his petroleum industry friends are making big profits right now, that’s how it works. Oil is more expensive so they increase prices to compensate, but they also increase prices even more for extra profit.

Not really. The primary factor was Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which isn’t something Biden has control over

It was a variety of things tbh, but generally they were all out of anyone’s direct control.

Russia/OPEC price war, massive fluctuations in US VIX, supply shocks after the crude oil price inversion of 2020, sanctions after Russian invasion of Ukraine, logistics and distribution disruption… all contributed.
