I suspect he meant to write “God, he is going to invade Canada”. Would make more sense.

As if Norwegians would want to immigrate to the US.
I mean, life happens independent of politics. Americans will want to move to Norway. Nords will want to move to America.
People get new jobs, they meet each other and get married, they travel and fall in love with new places, they experience strife and decide to leave.
