Near half the population is actively brainwashed by monied interests to believe this is the way. Another 10-20% aren’t sure of anything & just go with what sounds good. Damn near everyone will have to be in the salt mines before there’ll be enough saying “hey, wait a minute!”
Regardless, America is the ONLY major country without it.
