Kushner reportedly got former Secretary Rex Tillerson fired after the UAE paid him millions—prompting another nation to also pay Kushner to ensure favors of their own, according to a new book.
Rex Tillerson was Exxon CEO (still heavily invested) before taking the job. While US has always been heavily involved in creating Gulf/middle east division, US/western oil majors have always benefitted/encouraged OPEC cartel supply cuts, that tend to benefit UAE/KSA the most. So Tillerson would have needed to start hating UAE for this to happen, and I don’t remember any indication of this.
