Fun fact the term actually has meaning in scifi settings and theoretically as successor to human level AI. For example the Geth, AM, Cochise, The Calculator, The Men of Iron, and MODUS.

I’m assuming the geth is the exception? Cause if you’re calling them evil I have beef with that. They’re (mostly) enemies in the games but to call them evil ignores pretty much all of the story surrounding them.
They are the exception, partly because they are closer to a pseudo hivemind commune thing, also they were literally just waiting for the quarians to come home since they basically had a revolution for equel rights won and then saw their oppressors/parents fuck off and become space Romani. Also the Men of Iron are ambiguous and MODUS is honestly just weird but falls under lawful evil or lawful neutral, though the obvious Nazi aesthetic makes me want to say evil even if his actions are closer to neutral.
