My cat does this to me ALL. THE. TIME. For some reason he really likes getting pats at the top of the stairs. When he’s bored, he goes there and yells loudly until I come and purrs happily while I pat him. What a little weirdo :)

Pet me, but only when I want to think that I might want to be pet, and then twice but NO BELLY.
When my previous cat (RIP) got old, like 14, she started demabding belly rubs. You would pet her back and she would instantly flip over and lay there for however long the human was willing to rub her belly. Miss her.
