Michigan Democratic Party chair Curtis Hertel made it crystal clear on Sunday that Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) was no longer welcome in the state’s Democratic party.
Hertel posted to X after Stevens yanked her support from Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D) and gave it to his Republican challenger, “Congresswoman Stevens is not a current member of the Michigan Democratic Party, nor will she be in the future.”
But allying with genocidal fascists against anyone left of Reagan is her values. And that’s why she felt at home in the DNC.
This is a good move. But national party leadership still shares Stevens’ values, not yours or mine
