Mine is that the useState hook is an actual plague on the entire React ecosystem. Regardless of your opinions of React, if you wanna use something then use it right.

Perl is a fuckin’ awesome programming language, and it’s too bad other languages didn’t learn from it.
I will forever miss you $_
I hate this trope that languages should “learn” from each other. Because this typically means “should copy features / syntax”.
If I want to use Perl, I use Perl. I don’t need Perl in Rust, then I wouldn’t need Rust anymore.
Perl is write-only code. Larry Wall raised a monkey’s paw and asked for a language that works the way programmers want. So most scripts are the first thing someone tried - unfiltered by rigid syntax putting your thoughts in order, or compiler warnings bringing side effects to mind, or even names forcing you to decide what a variable is. An uncommented Perl script is raw brain patterns decoded as ASCII.
Thank god it runs like shit. Fast C isn’t exactly gorgeous, but any project that compiles is proof the coder fought the machine and won.
Other languages took perl’s regex engine
Good. Perl did regex correctly
