got a pocket full of Hawthornes,
p-p-p-pocket full of Hawthornes.
I just have a moth sometimes, but it flies out when I open my wallet to make sure there’s no money in it.
Keep both. You can stuff the leftovers in the Buffalo, ranch, bleu cheese, or BBQ flavored condom and take it to go.

1·3 days agoOh, now I vaguely remember seeing him before. Never actually watched an episode, though.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What movie would you suggest on either side of the below question?
13·5 days agoYeah. I thought it was bizarre when some people complained about a black actor playing the little mermaid. We could list Americans of northern European ancestry playing almost every other race, ethnicity and nationality without anyone blinking an eye and we could do it for days without being close to a complete list.

1·6 days agoI agree with the sentiment and the implied solution.
I would also like to suggest the edit that this is not an entirely new phenomenon, though. In Pompeii, there are crosswalks made of stone blocks a little taller than average curb height today and spaced such that the wheels of chariots and wagons may pass between them. They’re there so that pedestrians can cross the street without stepping into it. The technical reasons are different, but I believe the driving force is the same: the arbitrary socioeconomic stratification of society to facilitate authoritarianism.
Cars are just the latest bastard tool in the escalating conflict. Horse-drawn carriages were very much a menace to pedestrians, albeit, not nearly as bad as cars. There was a brief period of time, around 1900 CE when public transportation reached its per capita peak. We’ve regressed from that rapidly, but I believe there will be a return to similar rates of public transportation utilization. I just hope I’m around to see it.

3·7 days agoThat’s a dangerous setup, my friend. If the mosquito arrives from the other side, it’s going to get buffed up rock climbing and logging before getting fighty from drinking and then loading up on electrolytes.

That guy sure knew how to make bad decisions. I’ll never forget reading about the Ludlow Massacre.
