Wall Street calls that an asset light strategy. Nvidia calls it demand. The thieves call it same day delivery.
That’s a very AI way of phrasing it.
Moved over from Reddit after the API debacle. Most interested in news communities, while being in favor of popular self-determination and against the use and propagation of generative AI.

In at least one case I noticed that the prices on their app were lower than the ones in the store itself.
In any case, dollar stores do not save consumers money in most cases. They just sell smaller-sized products at higher markups per serving.

Check my comment history and you’ll see that I’m a big fan of em dashes (typically to prevent run-on sentences, clarify a point, or where someone else might use parentheses, like this) but very anti-AI.
I’ve never generated anything in any of my comments with AI and I have no intention of doing so.

Whoever wrote the headline is—intentionally or not—diverting the blame for the inflation from Trump.

I didn’t use an AI to notice that? Just checked their past comments.

Reviewing @eicker@lemmy.world’s comment history, they do appear to use ‘it’s not X, it’s Y’—something ChatGPT is known for—unusually often.

Perhaps enough to prevent a filibuster on contentious issues with enough bipartisan support, but not enough to overturn a veto in most cases.

While we should all be grateful for the work the developer put into the project, it’s also not uncommon for open source projects to use life cycle planning to determine potential redundancies if the original developer steps down. As things stand, their contributions are likely to go to waste, whereas ideally others could have picked up the torch from where they left off, preferably with historical data intact.

With how important Fediverse Observer is, the developer should have made an effort to hand it and its data over to another member of the community before winding the project down.

Users can create high-quality fake images in seconds – or enhance a photograph by asking the AI to remove a branch or leaf that might be obscuring part of the subject, which can inadvertently introduce significant changes.
Using AI even to edit an existing photo turns it into a piece of fiction; better to either accept a degree of imperfection or just take a few photos and pick one’s favorite.
They had four years to investigate Trump for January 6th and get accountability and didn’t. Now is not the time to be dialing down the heat.
