Not according to the last order I put together. It was adding up the costs per item, and even had a “what’s this charge” help bubble say it was per item until it collectively got over 150€ before it became a percentage rate.
How that’s all being calculated, I don’t know yet. I’ll look into the per package rule because a historically bigger order for me might still make sense with a 3€ premium added.
Indeed. I used to order small electronics parts (chips, wire, boards, etc) from asian sources. Germany now adds 3€ per item. Those things often cost under 1€ each. So… No point in doing it now.

I love living in a modern city. The sidewalks are mostly very wide with narrow roads. There’s room for people and people scale walking around.
For some reason, there’s also tons of small local businesses on most streets… Because we can walk there, and driving isn’t really much faster than transit in much of the city, so it’s easy to go outside and get what you need.
We’re still fighting to narrow many roads, add in more bike infrastructure, and generally slow down cars more so it gets safer (and less polluted), but it’s way way better then the stroadville I lived in in the US.

I try other options now and again. When something is better I use it. Until then, I have things to do with what works.
