Could you block DoH entirely on the network level and cause it to fallback? I guess you’d have to have a list of common DoH IP addresses to block.

The thing is, a link in an email is not any different than a link here on Lemmy, yet we click on those all day. Yes, both could lead to a malicious website, and if you don’t have a recent web browser, then you could get in to trouble without any action.
IMO, the only reason why there is a focus on phishing simulation in orgs is because email is something IT owns and you can easily track who does and doesn’t open an email. If there is a legitimate concern with opening random links, then phishing simulations would also extend to maybe peppering fake links on LinkedIn or other places where IT thinks their co-workers are browsing, but no one (AFAIK) does this.

All I could think as I read this was Dwight’s fire drill from the office

He is probably being pedantic, and meant he’d hand in his passport to US customs agents

It’d be interesting to see a different world where Jobs were still alive and what Apple would have done differently. Jobs did have a history of hypocritical statements which basically boiled down to “Feature X sucks, no one wants it” until Apple would come out with the same feature, and then he’d say “Now that Apple re-engineered Feature X, it’s perfect, buy it from us”. I could see him selling the iPhone Duo but the difference would be he’d push for better app integration over the last 10 years ahead of launch so that it’s not so janky.

Apple usually do the software more integrated than Android shipping phone companies.
And yet the software rollout has been very bungled, and added more fragmentation into the app store, adding a “designed for iphone duo” label and poor support for existing apps. About 10-15 years ago, this is something which Apple fanboys made fun of Android about.
Right, I guess as more DoH servers become available, it’ll be harder to track, but you could intercept and blackhole any HTTPS traffic to
one.one.one.oneand other popular servers to have them fallback.
