I find it frustrating that I’m one of the few people who clearly state that Obama sucked…

Given that no other variables change, then we can’t expect any difference this time around. However, there were some more progressive democrats elected this time and the people are starting to get more engaged. If we can unite and bludgeon the obstructionist Dems this time around, then there could at least be some progress possible.

Now that there are people showing up to vote and making a difference, there is some leverage. It may still take a while, but we can throw all of the deadbeats out on their asses.

Oh, I’m quite conflicted/anxious… I hope it’s different, this time. However, the statements by Dem ‘leadership’ suggests they are still very aware of where their paychecks are coming from and that they have no intention of disrupting that.

Ugh… that’s really disappointing. Hopefully the midterms will change the calculus and they’ll now support someone ready to get shit done.

I hope you’re right. At the same time, he has surrounded himself with sycophants and religious zealots who would be completely supportive of his wish. Many believe the end-times are here and this is the next logical and necessary step.
