I agree, though I think the corruption goes far beyond Trump. I keep thinking of “drain the swamp”, which was an appealing campaign promise, but I think neither Trump nor the Republicans drained the swamp. They just made a new, bigger swamp so you don’t notice the old one so much. I agree with the conclusion of the video that the United States is on the brink if irrecoverable, though I expect there are still many years of turmoil before the decline is complete. And, sadly, probably some tactical nuclear strikes.

Even an 80 year old person who can’t have food and drugs delivered still does not need to drive a 4000lbs SUV. There are much safer alternatives. We can quite reasonably just “ban them” from driving unnecessarily dangerous vehicles.

That’s because, thus far, they get away with choosing not to distribute any of their trillions of dollars to the suppliers of the information they consume - money has only gone to the suppliers of hardware and power, and to influencing politicians and rewarding investors. That’s their choice, and they should not be allowed to continue to make that choice. Good luck to the NYT.
