I remember Mastodon gaining a lot during the Elonification of twitter. Doesn’t seem like it’s all bad. I don’t want to be even more doom pilled.

Don’t you have to be a government official to be tried for treason? That said, Musk did run an illegal government agency once, not that long ago. Musk might qualify for treason.

The business culture is sick. This way of thinking is not limited to just a few people.

Democratizing the casino, eh?

I want that to be true, but from the article:
The first instinct is to assume that all of the gear would end up on the second-hand market. But in an additional twist to the story, the thieves already have overseas buyers ready before the heist actually takes place.
Law enforcement officials believe that the gear is slurped up by entities operating in countries under the U.S.’ tight AI export controls, including China. Verified Carrier, a platform for vetting carriers, says that this year, it’s seen suspicious activity linked with U.S. cargo theft in India, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Colombia, and Moldova. Scott Cornell of TAPA Americas estimates that six to seven out of 10 stolen cargo shipments (data center gear or otherwise) end up overseas.
See? The thieves are just thinking about money, not justice or social balance.

The consequence is that they waste money and time. Which actually matters for businesses strapped for money or time. But most of the megacorps are swimming in money and in time. They waste those all the time even without the AI because the upper management accepts kickbacks to contract with the worst (but also the bribiest) contractors. And mid management, and everyone else, put their own personal interests ahead of the company’s. Now that the AI hype is here, they have a new tool to waste time and money with, but nothing has fundamentally changed. Big business is a lumbering inefficient bureaucracy by its nature.
Four of my faves (in the order of what I imagine to be norminess):
https://f-droid.org/packages/com.menny.android.anysoftkeyboard/
Boring, reliable, stable, mature, has almost every language or feature that a standard keyboard can have.
https://f-droid.org/packages/tribixbite.cleverkeys/
New, and its biggest feature is its sophisticated and configurable swipe typing engine. I am not a huge fan of swipe typing per se, but this is a solid keyboard regardless. Works well in a terminal.
https://f-droid.org/packages/juloo.keyboard2/
Works very well in a terminal, reliable, solid, mature, programmer oriented but great for casual use as well.
https://f-droid.org/packages/com.dessalines.thumbkey/
My current fave, it’s for single finger speed typing. Do you want to compete with touch typing using only one thumb? This baby is for you. This keyboard requires modifying your typing habits. It’s a pita up front, however, once you learn the thumbkey way, every other keyboard is almost obsolete after that. I do say almost, because some games benefit from ctrl-alt-fn modifiers and a qwerty layout, vim keys are easier on a qwerty, things like that. But thumbkey is a beast jusf for doing fast one finger input.
