My wife made me get rid of my triple CRT setup in the mid 2000s. I was only able to sell one of them, for way less than it was worth IMO, the rest I found a place that took them for free eventually. It was shockingly hard to get rid of them.

Wendy’s locations are a TON of variability. Within the same town you can find a Wendy’s that is stellar and a Wendy’s that sucks to the point that it barely makes sense that they are the same restaurant chain. I am sure they’d have been forced to do that eventually if Dave was still around, but he would have likely pushed back hard to prevent it as much as he could.

This sounds like a version of the old “green light” system which people apparently hated. I didn’t love it, but I think opening the doors to every shitty thrown together app was already a disaster before slop made the issue so much worse. I think opening the doors to everything probably made them a bunch of money so there is no way we’ll see them shut it again unless they have to.
It’s funny, my issue with it has always been that they add ham with it. Fuck that, give me pepperoni and some sort of (not shitty green bell) pepper like a jalapeno or banana pepper and pineapple is great.

FWIW, I also don’t have my slashdot account anymore. They were dead to me the moment CmdrTaco sold the site roughly 15 years ago, so I never bothered to migrate my account to a new email.
