In recent years, Democrats have mostly ceded religious voters, outreach, and messaging to Republicans. That has made it almost impossible for the party to compete in red and rural states, where white evangelical voters make up a substantial share of the electorate. In turn, Democrats have faced increasingly long odds to win those Senate seats, or expand the electoral map in presidential contests.

For the last 20 months the focus is on winning every race, no more handouts to conservatives to save money to cram a neoliberal down our throats for president.
The DNC “victory fund” was drained and given back to state parties it was stolen from, which is why we’re about to see a shit ton of seats flip; we’re actually trying to win a majority again.
