I’m more European than he is because all of my ancestors were traveling whores, apparently.

That said, I’ve no difficulty pronouncing his name. If you can’t, that must make you one of the following; illiterate, lazy, stupid, or racist.

Any one of these should disqualify somebody whose job is to work for the people.

Damn, I guess people with speech impediments are illiterate, lazy, stupid and racist. Nice ableism you got there.

Riiiiight. You know that’s not what I meant. A disability obviously doesn’t mean someone is illiterate, lazy, stupid and racist. Unless they look at the name and say “that person ain’t fucking white!” Then they’re stupid and racist…

Then why would you use an unverifiable universal statement? This is how people with different abilities end up marginalized. One of my friends is a phonoaudiologist and their work is incredible, being able to communicate properly after an accident or being born with an impediment is in my opinion more imperative than being able to walk. I’m sorry if I came across as an asshole, but no one should feel invisible.

The OP was about racists refusing to try to pronounce a non-white name and then voting in line with said racism. What you initially presented was a straw man argument.
If you had bothered to take into account ANY of the context in which my comment was made it wouldn’t have been unverifiable nor universal.

I fully agree with you on the marginalisation of people with disabilities, shit ain’t right, but don’t come in here ignoring everything surrounding my comment and say I’m being ableist. You didn’t sound like an asshole, you’re being an asshole. You’re actively diminishing the actual arguments against ableist behaviour.
