Country music legend Garth Brooks revealed Monday that a third show in Kansas City, Missouri, for his “Blame It All on My Roots” tour has been canceled due to "bots" flooding the ticket queue.
I would argue that Ticketmaster prefers it this way. Ever since they restricted resales to the marketplace they control, they’re basically double-dipping on every ticket the bots snap up.
Tickets were refunded in this scenario – so I don’t think they gained much here. I guess it just depends if most entertainers don’t cancel due to bots.

You don’t even need to argue that. StubHub, a major player in the “legitimized” scalping market is Ticketmaster.
