I wasnt expecting the plot twist. Im glad I didn’t read your spoiler
the amount of posts with spoilers/punchlines on the title is too damn high
You might be thinking of Pet Sematary which is spelled distinctly different.
Apparently I spoiled the story and spelled the book title wrong.
Honestly, I didn’t think many would get the reference. And also I completely forgot it was spelled differently.
⚰️😕
Yeaaa… we all a got the reference. But it’s all good.
All good, tis a shitpost after all
I remember reading this story in Reader’s Digest back in the 1970s or 80s. An oldie but a goodie.
I remember finding old (translated) Reader’s Digests in vacation homes that seemed like they would be fun and interesting to adults. So I looked up the current website, but unfortunately it looks pretty shit now.
Back in the 70s’and 80s we didn’t have cell phones, so we took the readers digest or a garfield comic book to take a dump with.
But ya that site is terrible.
I am Joe’s colon.
I get cancer. I kill Joe.
that puts a new perspective on the digest part of reader’s digest
ya the story is older than I am.(but still funny)
Most variations I’ve heard was usually the dog dug up a dead cat or a pet chicken.
I remember reading similar story about a guy that was buried but then somehow got out days later back in school. From what I remember it was a very old story, about 2000 years old. And I think it was based on even older stories from Egypt or something.
Funny, I wouldn’t have to down vote it, if you cropped the literal Facebook propaganda in all caps that adds nothing to the meme
I feel like I shouldn’t hide where it came from as that’s sketchy.
Also I found it on Pinterest.
Whenever you see screenshots with rounded black borders, it’s usually from Pinterest.
The top was already partially cropped.
Decent amount of funny stuff on Pinterest, surprisingly.
I heard exactly this story about 30 years ago. I’m certain it did not originate from Facebook.
Probably an urban legend . Multiple versions. Similar plot.
I have another story that I heard from a guy who was staying at the same air BNB as me. (It had multiple rooms that they rented out).
We were chatting in the kitchen and I told him I love to hear interesting people-stories. Especially bizarre ones.
Here is the story he told me.
His brother’s gf (age in the early 20s) had been hired by her professor to pet sit an old dog while the professor and her husband were in Europe for a week or two.
This young lass had been told the medium/large sized dog was old but otherwise seemed healthy.
A few days into this pet sitting gig, the dog unexpectedly died of unknown causes. But was old. So probably health problem.
She contacted the owners. She wasn’t sure what to do with their beloved pet dog’s body. Too big to fit in the freezer.
The owners asked her to have the dog cremated.
This young lass, being in the city and young did not have a car of her own. So she had to consider the best way to transport the dog and decided on putting the dog in a large rolling suitcase.
So she does this. And uses public transportation to get to the vet clinic that will have the dog cremated.
She heads out to her destination via public bus.
She gets off at her stop. Checks her phone to look at a map. Get her bearrings and such as she’s unfamiliar with where she is going.
As she is distracted, a thief sees an opportunity to rob this young lady of her medium/large suitcase.
Surely there must be something of value in such a large heavy suitcase.
She is unable to catch the person who stole it as she didn’t notice it had been lifted right away.
She then had to contact the owners again and inform them that someone stole their dogs corpse.
Then the guy telling me this story and I contemplated the fate of the suitcase, and the reaction of the theif after they hauled this suitcase a decent distance. Maybe all the way to their own place, only to unzip it and discover a dead dog.
I saw this story as a greentext on 4chan over a decade ago.
Not possible. Unless same guy who told it to me posted it.
Unlikely.
I was told this story in late 2018 ish. Maybe 2019.
Guy was like 23 or 24. Pretty young. In town doing an apprenticeship. We were both there for a few weeks and I’d chat him up in the kitchen in the evenings and we’d share stories.
He had other stories but that was the most interesting.
I did tell this story to a comedian friend of mine (2020ish) who did use it in a amateur local standup routine. But tbh he’s not that good and I don’t think he posted a video of it or anything. I know he changed some of the details to make it more dramatic. But can’t recall what.
Well it’s possible its something that happens occasionally but also possible the guy just made it up.
He seemed sincere. Clarified it was his brother’s ex gf. But they were dating at the time.
I applaud him for getting away with it for so long.
I thought you were implying I made up the story. I did not.
I definitely heard it from this guy at an air BNB.
Now I’m wondering if his other story was legit or he’s just good at selling a story.
The other good one was he went to vegas with buddies. Bachelor trip. They got henna tattoos out in some open area market. Tiger or something. Said it looked really good. But they Didn’t ask for the price before getting it. And then after it was done the woman wanted $1000. They refused. She called the police. They had to pay it on his credit card. And his gf back home is convinced he bought a prostitute or stripper for the charge on his card. Wouldn’t believe it was for a temporary tattoo.
Those poor dog owners…

They should just rename it to Fakebook
Iirc they put this in an episode of Malcolm in the Middle, or one of the many 90s/00s sitcoms
I don’t think rigor mortis lasts three days but I could be wrong.
I believe you are correct.
I am not sure it’s a true story or not. Or maybe only partially true. Like there was a photo of a dead rabbit coveted in dirt. So that part about his cat with a dead rabbit was probably true and he added the rest for flavor.
But it was entertaining either way.
What’s the phrases something like “don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story”
I believe that. Loved the movie “big fish”
One thing I like to say is “I once had my hair braided illegally in the Bahamas” sounds fascinating and it’s technically true. The real story is I cheaped out and the person who braided my hair didn’t have a license for a business.
Lots of people go to unlicensed hair stylist. It not that interesting when you lay out the facts.
Priceless
That is the exact plot of Diary of a Killer Cat by Anne Fine.
You gotta bury them deeeeep. Other animals can smell them if you don’t.
The Easter bunny!
@deannapshyah really needs to delete facebook.
