You want a foldable phone? This is all you need.

They don’t make phones like this anymore. Look at that black and gold drip. 🤩

My budget Samsung flip phone lasted me from about 2010 until late 2016 (I never thought about the declining battery since it only had 3 bars to show the level). Too bad I never owned a phone until 2009, and prior to that I just used landlines and I never really thought about buying a phone lol

Yes they do and it’s all owned by Lenovo now. I bought an Edge 70 Fusion just before prices went up. I’m not sure how durable the Razr is but it’s nice for people who are obsessed with being trendy, and trying a new format.

A bit unexpected this isn’t the first generation these devices have existed and manufacturers have a lot of experience. People think Apple is doing everything by themselves but they mostly slap together parts from different manufacturers. Or they really screwed it up.

As always, in Apple you pay (expensive) Apple productsfor design and brand, not for quality or performance. Foldable phones in Samsung and others not a problem. with it you have a smartphone convertible to an Tablet, usefull for some tasks, but not with bad quality following an hype. Apple products are made for Apple and acttionists, not for the user.

All current foldable phones will show the crease. The iPhone has the same screen technology as Samsung phones (because it is a Samsung screen)

What’s the point of foldable devices, really? All I want is to have smaller devices with jack port and changeable batteries.

Meh. Not a surprise to anyone watching from the sidelines that version 1.0 shows some flaws. There’s a reason I wouldn’t buy anyone’s first swing at a foldable.

At least they’ve got a stellar engineering team. I’d expect future iterations to be solid.

Companies have been making foldables for years

        Yes.

        without this issue

No. ALL foldables get a crease, it’s inevitable and why folding phones are for idiot bougies.

It’s not that the creases are forming too quickly, cracks are forming and white pixels are showing. (read the article)

Apple waited several years to release their take on the Galaxy Fold…. Supposedly because they wanted to get it right from the first gen. Mind you - the Duo is using a Samsung display too
