Siphoning doesn’t work unless you and the hose are underneath the level of fuel/liquid in the tank.

Don’t ask how I know this, but I should probably call her…

First you sip it, then close the hose with your thumb. Then you move the hose down. You’re not lying on the ground as you do this, are you?

Sip it? That’s not a straw, that’s a garden hose, and she’s standing up. She’d be trying to suck something like the volume and weight of like a quarter gallon to even fill the hose up.

From a standing position, that would be one hell of a feat, and probably lungs slap full of gasoline fumes. No I wouldn’t be lying on the ground to start a siphon, but I definitely would start in a crouching position so as to not have to fight all the weight of the volume of fuel to fill the hose.

This is why having a minimum wage that actually covers costs of living matters, so one parent can work and cover the basic needs and if they desire one parent can stay home and teach the kids the basics like that you don’t have to lay on the fucking ground to siphon gas, you can use physics and your thumb to get the job done while keeping your cloths clean and your self esteem intact.

Doesn’t anyone know about one-way valves that are weighted and can be giggled, to draw fuel out? They’ve been around for decades.

Yes, but you do it like this until the gas level is near the end, then cover the end, and then put the end in your storage vessel and remove your thumb.
