Vehicle OEMs have been building in the US for decades. Vehicles are heavy and cost a lot to ship.
Trump will likely be gone in a couple years and his replacement will very likely cancel all these tariffs on day 1. Who would invest hundreds of millions in building US infrastructure with that hanging over their heads?
