Enough to provide the USA median income of about $85K from investing it conservatively, while keeping up with inflation, plus a little cushion in case of emergencies or adverse economic conditions.
That’s about $10M.

No. His case challenged their power, so they have to make an example out of him.
A spoonful of it helps you get perspective on where you should be spending the most effort. A bucket of it turns you into Sam Bankman-Fried.
Unless they operate on different physics than our universe currently does
It’s Star Trek. Of course it does.
In this case, it’s a fictional particle doing the heavy lifting. Explanations of exactly what it’s supposed to do seem to be inconsistent (it’s Star Trek), but at lower energy levels, it does electromagnetic stuff (including stunning living creatures), at medium energy levels, it does thermal stuff, and at high energy levels, it messes with the strong nuclear force.
Disintegrating something by messing with the strong nuclear force would probably have harmful effects on anything nearby, which is not addressed because it’s Star Trek.
Phaser.

This comment implies the motivation is to protect the public from particularly dangerous offenders.
Life in prison without the possibility of parole is similarly protective.
Based on a very abbreviated look at his channel, I would argue that he does not. His investments are not conservative; the kind of investments he’s advocating require continual research and significant expertise or they become high-risk. That doesn’t count as “never working again”; it’s working as an investor with yourself as the client.
When I say “conservative”, I mean stick the money in an index fund or three and do nothing more than reinvest any returns over the median income on a good year so there’s some extra to take out in a bad year.
