I had a similar experience with pop, the freezing was unbearable. Many audio issues with pipewire, felt like everything was a fight and like I was searching for solutions more than enjoying the OS. Much happier having switched, the enthusiasm returned immediately.

I didn’t think about that, good point. It doesn’t really change my stance, I still think it would save more lives overall. How much over 70 (I assume that’s the average boonies speed cap) do people go in an emergency? How often does that compound the emergency? How often does it improve the outcome?

I’m more extreme in this regard, but I don’t think there’s any reason any vehicle without active warning flashers and sirens needs to go above the posted speed limit, ever ever ever. Make every speed limit sign update the max speed on your vehicle.
