Don’t judge 'em until you get two data points. As a Texan, my perception is that this isn’t a sudden awakening. It is revenge voting and we’ll be bright red again as soon as the Dems drop the ball.
I’m hoping that they make things happen at the local levels and show real data to back it up.
I try to remain optimistic, but yeah, this is what I expect to happen.

Every state office in Texas flipped last night. Texas is a blue state now. They’re ALL gone. Governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, railroad commissioner (yes this matters), Supreme Court justices. If they were up for reelection, they got beat last night by democrats.
Unfortunately, my Republican Congressperson won his election. And we’re still stuck with Ted Cruz until he’s up for reelection. But for sure, I am so thrilled with the election results.
Oh hell yeah. Railroad commissioner indeed matters, I haven’t forgotten what happened in Ohio
And Paxton and Dan Patrick lost, which is also a huge deal.
Dan Patrick was the guy who said that we should sacrifice grandma and grandpa for the economy during COVID.
I guess I can stop wishing for Paxton to roll him off a cliff and jump down after.
Greggie is already halfway to the megachurch speaking circuit.
