I left lemmy to move to piefed after disagreeing with lemmy’s developers moderation practices and finding out a portion of the donations go to keep .ml running.

Lemmy all the way. PieFed is cool in some of its features, but the way Rimu makes heavy-handed decisions without properly getting community input is insulting and reeks of everything I left centralized Web for.
I keep PyLova in sight, but for now, Lemmy serves me well.
I miss pugjesus and all the cool history stuff he posted 😭
I haven’t used Piefed so I can’t say. However, what I can say is that place seems to attract more than their fair share of obnoxious users.

Well, not really. Kind of misinterpreted your message before having my coffee and responded without thinking. Anyway, I’m pissed off about the bots that try to discourage US voting and it leaks to all my Lemmy comments.
Can I just say, as someone new to any of this you all sound like a bunch of absolute loons. It’s like you’re arguing over your favorite tarts flavors.
