This got removed from politics because “Video links are not allowed” apparently? Pretty weird considering that most politicians say stuff on video nowadays and not really writing articles anymore since the invention of the radio pretty much lol. Hope it’s a better fit here, this is the kind of stuff people should be aware of.

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet.

Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well.

      I asked you not to call me that, because I’m trans+, not because I consider it an insult. Your second time is a blatant misgendering. You really don’t care about trans people, do you?

      Where is your line? At what point should we start saying “actually, your position on trans people is so unacceptable that I can’t support you”? Because a ban on trans healthcare should be enough.

        It’s all hands on deck. I would t give a shit if they candidate was anti people-with-autism-that-live-in apartments-with-a-cat, I’d still vote for them against a fascist.

        There is SO much more at stake here than issues that ONLY affect you, chicka. So to answer your question where I draw the line?

        Between US and fascism. Period. That’s it- End of fucking story. And there are NO purity tests, and no entitlements on this side of it.
