This got removed from politics because “Video links are not allowed” apparently? Pretty weird considering that most politicians say stuff on video nowadays and not really writing articles anymore since the invention of the radio pretty much lol. Hope it’s a better fit here, this is the kind of stuff people should be aware of.

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet.
Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well.
You are the peasant that’s about to get trampled because they never played politics, you do you. One bad Iowa candidate doesn’t make the entire party, that gaslighting is literally on you.
Yes we get it. We are peasants. You don’t value us or our lives at all. Message received loud and clear.
This is not the time to suffer fools, specially the sort to gaslight and be easily gaslit. They will drag you down to their folly and prevent you from defending what values.
Beware of this shameless bandwagon popular on Lemmy disguised under many flags to try to discourage people from voting Democrat everywhere. This article is only about Iowa. They want to drag your rights away with fools and outliers.
