  • That sure was a way to say a lot of things without saying anything addressing what was said.

I know Marx’s philosophy. Just because Marx theorized something does not make it so. And there are plenty of marxists that reject the dictatorship of the proletariat or the high level vanuardism of Lenin. If your primary response to criticism of the dictatorship of the proletariat within a massive state. Is simply to recite dogma, you have nothing of value to say

  • Defending wealth discrimination means defending the systems of racial bias/discrimination that wealth is built on. Schumer doesn’t care about Palestinians, blacks, or Mexicans. Pelosi either. They tolerate them, and don’t actively persecuted them. That’s way different than supporting and fighting for equality.

Can some social liberals be economic liberals? Sure if they’re uneducated. Are social liberals dedicated to economic liberalism, generally no. It’s just what they’re familiar with. But most of them support limits on and taxing wealth, universal healthcare, public housing and food etc. Things any actual economic liberal would abhor as it interferes with the markets.

  • I agree. But again, social vs economic liberalism. Economic liberalism 100% is all for private property, and private property is theft. Yes. But the socially liberal crowd, while not traditional leftist. Are much more open to limits on that. They really need to adopt another moniker, unfortunately. Go back to progressive even.

But the socially liberal crowd 100% believes all that. They just need to ditch all the economic liberals and stop letting them run the party.

It’s economic liberalism vs social liberalism. It’s the fucked up political language of the US. They mean what the rest of the world would call left. But unfortunately due to our misuse of the term it allowed neoliberals to come in, take over, and work against the people.

  • It’s not even about deception. Although deception starts off as aid generally before they are deceived. Hence deception. Realistically an individual cannot properly moderate that many communities. Not even people I know who are on disability and spend all day online can do that and still remain mentally healthy. It’s just not a good thing.

Un moderated or poorly moderated communities can also be problematic in their own right. Not to mention creating all these unused communities. Posting all these bot posts to those communities. It grows the local database, for no real purpose. Just the hope that maybe they could catch someone to come in and contribute to the community? Does the good outweigh the bad? And then it leads to assessments somewhat like yours. Of large bot presence. Which if you were looking to grow communities. That sort of thing is generally seen as a detriment. Maybe they think or are looking to try to help. But again I just question it. The efficacy of it. I would rather see fewer but more active maintains communities than a bunch of ghostcoms. Magically getting posts but no engagement. But that’s just me LOL. And if I put up my own instance I will probably keep it quite tight.

  • This is less about “democracy”. But more about the state building systems to undermine democracy and concentrate power.

It’s a sad state for sure that at the national level, the only thing third parties are good for is losing. But it’s just a fact of the systems that have been built. Ranked choice is a good thing regardless. But we really need to do away with or heavily reign in any office at the level of an entire state or higher. State governor, or federal Senate. Even the federal house honestly. And they’re should be no presidents to flirt with this unitary executive fascist bullshit. If we are to elect for offices, we need them to stay connected and answerable.
