They’re superb.

They’re not nice.
They’re superb.

Everything is made up and the points don’t matter.

I am not and never have been in possession of a vagina, so please don’t think I’m trying to tell anyone who is their business. That said, I saw diva cups being discussed and strongly recommended on reddit ten to fifteen years back and suggested one to my wife, then girlfriend, since everyone who said they had used one also said they were a much better experience.
She was resistant at first and I didn’t push since it’s her body, but apparently she took the recommendation to heart because one day one showed up at our house (not my doing) and she’s used them continuously (when needed) since then.
She has occasionally described their workings, in humorous terms, to me. I approve because she’s happier and they create less waste.
My ankle doctor has billboards of herself up and down the highway that runs between my house and her practice. Also the hospital runs streams of her talking in all of their waiting rooms. Also there are some cardboard cutouts in the hallways.
I once asked her “do you ever get jumpscared by yourself?” She responded with a long rant about how she hates it, but her employer demands it.
Is that how you get the elephant’s attention?
Isn’t “Bruce Wayne does use his resources to help people” how Azrael happened?
Well, it’s nice to know that someone pays attention to my ramblings and I guess it’s also nice to know that you only kind of do.
If it wasn’t, it was very similar looking.
No, but I am prepared for a nap.
edit: The problem is, it was always described to me as a “digital typewriter.” I don’t deny the accuracy of the description but searching for that doesn’t return the device in question and adding “blue” doesn’t make much difference.
edit2: This was in response to a different post. I apologize.
That sounds awful. I’m sorry that happened.
Once I was driving on I-95 and developed unexpected diarrhea. I stopped at a nearby Subway and relieved myself there, but it took a while. While I was doing so I heard people in the hallway outside of the bathroom; what I heard was someone saying “wow, you’re all waiting for the bathroom?” Hearing that didn’t help.
My restroom experience in that situation was not positive. My experience of exiting that restroom after hearing that and walking past a long line of people who all had to hear my struggles in there was worse.
I’ve certainly wondered whether that’s the case.
When I was a kid, before laptops were commonly accessible, I had a device … I can’t remember what it was called, I keep thinking “Altavista,” but I know that was a search engine, not a device. I do recall that it was blue.
Anyway, the idea was, you’d type into it and it would store what you typed locally. Later, you’d plug it into a computer’s PS/2 port it would reproduce what you had typed by imitating a keyboard and literally typing out what was in its memory. My mom teased me because she’d sometimes review what I had put in and encounter .
This device was how I discovered Y-connectors, which later resulted in me having a keyboard on my desk and a keyboard in a keyboard tray with one hand on each.
Didn’t Elvis once famously kill a roach with a revolver? I remember hearing that story, but all I can find with cursory DDG searches is some altercation between him and Alice Cooper.
I might be confusing it with the story about him shooting his TV, but I’m not sure how a roach would get involved in that memory. Maybe I’m recalling a Simpsons bit. It’s too early for me to remember clearly.
FWIW, in case you don’t know, Lemmy uses Markdown. IMHO it’s pretty good at formatting and there are lots of guides for it online; just looking up “how to to x in markdown” is likely to get you plenty of results.
In case you want to see the results of particular texts in real-time, there are also editors that will immediately show you what will be the outcome of what you write. These are available locally on your system, but also online:
Once I took my kid to a Dollar General (not a corporation I would prefer to support, but we had a need for a product and there aren’t many other options practically available locally). The kid was five or six at the time, I don’t recall precisely.
Anyway, as we were acquiring our necessities, the kid realized they had to use the restroom. I asked the kid if they were able to hold it, but they said no, so I inquired with the staff and, though I never realized it prior, it turns out that at least that particular DG does, indeed, allow you to use their restroom.
I took the kid to it but, like some grocery stores I attended when I, myself, was but a youth, it was through the stock room. Much like I remember feeling in those stock rooms, my kid felt we shouldn’t be there. They clung tightly to me and, despite my reassurances, kept repeating “I don’t think we should be here. We should not be back here.” After they took care of business, we came back out into the store proper and they said words to the effect of “phew! I didn’t think we should be there.”
I never want my progeny to have to be afraid, and certainly I don’t want them to be unnecessarily fearful, but I do feel proud that when they were I was a source of safety for them.
That looks like the Rocketeer.
