Pretty weird considering that most politicians say stuff on video nowadays and not really writing articles anymore since the invention of the radio pretty much lol. Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet.
Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well.
All of my queer family is not voting for either demagogues. I am done being nice.
If you’re a Democrat, you’re going on the woodchipper too. Better use than genociding us because you can’t hold your party accountable.

Swinging the House/Senate control allows Dems to set congressional agenda, take more control of subcommittees, and (theoretically) extert expected pressure on the executive branch. Having duds isn’t a zero sum prospect and I’m tired of politics ratcheting right—let’s make progress in the other direction.
