Ah I see. Yeah I used to stick to Debian/Ubuntu for most everything, I tried pop OS but it didn’t run well on the laptop I was using. Mint seems to do alright whether something has barley any resources or does have a plethora.

I’ll have to install Ubuntu on something again sometime and see what it’s been up too.

What are your qualms with mint my I ask? It seems to have natively accepted any hardware I’ve thrown it on. Intel/AMD, NVIDIA/Radeon nothing has come back with driver issues.

The only issue I think I’ve had with 1 machine i believe is a dependency issue I haven’t looked into yet, because python3 wasnt being updated from the standard apt update/upgrade.

I mean if some dumbass put this in a non labeled container and put it next to where they were making pretzels, the standard cafeteria person is going to ask themself, is that salt or sugar, and then say… That’s not sugar. And I’ve gotten pretzels before that have salt packets shipped with them, and the salt does not look like granulated salt you use as table salt. So if you are in a rush (say enough so that you have to have called in a substitute like said scenario) I could understand someone mistaking it.

The fault is on whomever removed the substance from a clearly labeled container, and then again on whomever left it in the kitchen next to the oven which the pretzels were presumed baked in.

The sodium hydroxide used to clean ovens can be food grade as well. The storing it not in extremely obvious labeled containers is what likely got an understaffed(having subs) kitchen in trouble here.

If y’all are going to do all that can we at least compost them after so something good can come out of it?

They likely know the charges won’t make it anywhere. They just need to have people to say “see, they have charges against them as well” to make it seem like evidence/charges/convictions against current officials arent important. Although there is a huge difference between charges/convictions, if you keep getting headlines saying so and so has charges against them, it dulls the headlines.

Because it was still the view of many of the people who would have called themselves Republicans in say 2010 but realized Trump wasn’t good for the country or left the party for other reasons. They didn’t just disappear, they joined the only other viable party and helped to shift it further right. Like when Desantis won Florida Governor in 2022, he won against then Democrat candidate Charlie Christ, whom was the Republican governor of Florida from 2007-2011. Christ didn’t change all of his views, his views were suddenly just left of MAGA, but still right of where Democrats were in 2006

The other interesting part to me is that most iPhone users have gotten used to using faceid. I know not everyone likes using it but it is the standard use for iPhone users. The Duo doesn’t have face ID, and switches you back to having to use touch ID on a side button like on an iPad. (I assume because they couldn’t figure out a standardized position that would work well when you are rotating/folding/unfolding whatever to that could consistently work well.

I don’t care what he does after he retires from congress, he can open a cupcake shop or open a roller skating ring. I just don’t think he should be in congress
